At Eye Wellness, sustainability isn’t a buzzword—it’s a promise. We believe your eye care should feel good, not just for your health, but for the world around you. That’s why we’re committed to eco-conscious choices in everything we do, from the frames we carry to how we handle everyday waste in our clinic.
We’re proud to be creating a space where families can care for their eyes while also supporting a healthier planet—one refill, one recycled lens, and one thoughtful step at a time.
Ready to see what sustainable eye care looks like? Book your eye exam today and experience it for yourself.
Because caring for people means thinking long-term, we want your experience at Eye Wellness to leave you feeling seen, supported, and part of something bigger. Whether you’re dropping off your old glasses, inquiring about a sustainable brand, or simply opting for a single-use cup, we see you and appreciate you.
We’re not perfect. But we’re trying, and we’re learning—and we’re proud of the intentional choices we’re making every day.
We’re proud to be one of the few optometric clinics that actively integrates eco-friendly practices into everyday operations. Here’s a closer look at how we’re doing our part—and how you can join us.
Your next pair of glasses can be a style statement and a sustainability win. We carry forward-thinking brands like ECO Eyewear, which use recycled and plant-based materials and plant a tree with every frame purchase. You’ll also find Zeal and Adidas, combining performance with planet-friendly production.
Every contact counts—and we mean that literally. Through TerraCycle’s recycling program, we collect used contact lenses and blister packs so they don’t end up in landfills. Drop them off with us anytime you swing by.
Behind the scenes, we recycle disposable PPE and packaging waste through Green Circle Ideas, helping reduce what ends up in the trash and keeping our clinic eco-responsible.
Got a drawer full of old specs? We’ll take them! Through the Lions Club’s Recycle for Sight program, your pre-loved glasses get a second life with someone who really needs them.
Why toss out a perfectly good spray bottle? We offer refills for our eyeglass cleaning solution—a simple swap that reduces plastic waste (and keeps your lenses looking fresh).
Sustainability doesn’t stop at eyewear. As a team, we lean into greener habits:
We’re gradually transitioning to digital forms, appointment reminders, and patient records to reduce unnecessary paper usage. It’s easier for you—and easier on the environment.
Let’s make eye care feel good inside and out. Ask about our sustainability programs during your next visit, or bring in your recyclables and bottles anytime.
Come in for compassionate, conscious care. Book your visit or give us a call—we can’t wait to welcome you in.
We are located at the corner of Portage Road and Colborne Street, in the same complex as Shoppers Drug Mart and the Stamford Centre Library.
Our practice is in the Town & Country Plaza. There is plenty of parking available in the public lot.
