Contact Lenses For Your Best Vision

If you are tired of using glasses or find your current contact lenses to be uncomfortable and ineffective, we can help. Contact lens exams are tailored to finding the best possible fit for your eyes, because the proper fit is essential for your contact lenses to work.

Improperly fit contact lenses not only cause poor vision, but can also be a serious health concern. Contact lenses that don’t fit properly can cause an injury to your cornea or other complications with your eye health.

The Exam, Fitting, & Trial Process

We specify exact contact lens parameters by using a certain set of processes to certify we are providing not only the correct fit, but the best fit for you. These processes are as follows:

The Exam

First, we examine your eyes with specialized instruments and a variety of standardized tests. We determine whether contact lenses are a good vision correction solution for you and what prescription would be appropriate – your glasses prescription and contact lens prescription are not the same. We also confirm that your eyes are healthy enough to use contact lenses effectively.

Second, we measure each of your eyes with great detail to discern their specific dimensions. By doing this we are able to determine the proper size and type of contact lens that would best serve your corneas. We also discuss contact lens styles to choose the right one for you.

Third, we send you home with a trial pair of lenses in the prescription, size, style, and brand we have settled on. You wear your new lenses for a trial period and if you decide they exceed your expectations, we order more during your follow-up appointment. If you or we determine they are not ideal, we will try a different size, style, and/or brand to find a better result.
