Children develop at a fast pace, and are constantly growing and changing. Their vision does the same: as children learn new life skills and knowledge, they continually depend on clear and quality vision to take them to their next milestone.
When conducting a comprehensive eye exam for any child, we focus not only on checking for healthy development but also on educating families on ocular health. This helps to ensure that you’re ready to aid your child’s development between visits to the optometrist.
It is imperative that your child has their eyes examined at least once a year, usually beginning around 6 months old. This solidifies our ability to monitor your child’s ocular health and better detect any problems, should they arise.
Remember, children may not notice or express vision problems in the same way adults would. It is our responsibility to make sure they are on the best path of development possible. We know that trips to the doctor can cause apprehension, so we ensure a calm and friendly environment to best serve your family.
Please bring your child’s health care card and insurance information, as well as information about any health issues they may have and medications they are taking. If they have any current eyewear, please bring it as well.
Eye Wellness is proud to offer advanced eye care technology that ensures the most accurate ocular testing possible.
Our doctors all have extensive backgrounds in eye care and vested interests in the optometric field. Most of our doctors are members of vetted national organizations that encourage professional development as well as both modern and traditional methodology.
